This is "Pinky" she is a female Persian cat, here to be bred to Mooshie....we will get to that in a moment. Pinky has a great love of anything soft, warm and cushy ~ think laundry and pillows. No regular bed is soft and comfy enough for our darling Pinky. That being said, I would never guess she had a secret desire to go outside. We never let her outside unless it's in the cattio on a very nice day.
We don't consider mid-winter during great snow fall a "nice day." Apparently, Pinky begs to differ. How this photo came to be...you see I needed to go outside and do horse chores. I suited up opened the door and this is what I saw. ^^ (See above) Yes, yes, I did laugh. There was ever patient, long suffering Pinky, sitting quietly at the door, waiting patiently for me to open it up and let her inside. She is so precious. It so happens that I had my camera nearby...I captured the Kodak moment on film. The story of Pinky and her forced temporary marriage to Mooshie shall be coming in full detail in later days. Meanwhile, enjoy her great photo.

So it's all "Here Kitty Kitty, come over here sweeti" until a human is in the shower. Then, inexplicably, it's "Stop it! Don't jump in here! Get off of the curtain rod!"
What gives with that? I don't understand, are the humans the only ones entitled to unhindered water flow from above? Have they found the secret to catching it and they are unwilling to share? Are humans the only ones that are treated to honey, lavender, extract shampoo? I ask, because I am pretty sure my shampoo smells like citrus. I am a cat, have you ever heard of an orange loving cat? Even Mooshie doesn't like Oranges...though I believe he would love a bath in tomato juice. Heaven forbid I clean my paws off in the fresh water bowl that humom sets down. I hear "Winni ~ stop splashing water all over the floor and making the water dirty with your paws!" Am I supposed to walk around with dirty paws then? That's the plan? I have dirty paws because Humom is too lazy to put out a fresh bowl of water. Really? How rude. Furthermore, it has come to my attention that only the pregnant cats, and the cats with kittens get the Royal Canin canned cat food Everyday! Every single day! Seriously? I can't live on dry kibble and that cheap-o canned cat food from goodness only knows where once a week! I do my best to ask nicely, I wave my paw (the trick that always works for potato chips) I meow, I rub on the humans legs, I follow them as they walk towards the kitten nursery from which no plate has ever returned with food upon it! All to no avail !! I also couldn't help but notice that my feather on a stick has not been replaced. Humom knows it's my favorite. Yes...I ATE it okay?! What else would any cat worth her salt do? I ate the feather on a stick....I stole it, I hid behind the chair, I ate it, and then I lovingly brought the remains to humom in order for her to realize that I required a new one. Where is it?!! I give up, I may as well sleep with the dog! Toria did well outside visiting the other cats for the day...she is supposed to be a barn cat and all, so she was going to stay outside. That was cute, I love that I thought I was going to do that. She now is inside when she wants to be and outside when she wants to be. She is the most loving, sweet, kind, warm hearted kitty! Oh, and she has poly-toes...did I tell you that? Yep, she sure does. She is not super fond of other cats. So, when she gets sick of them, she just goes outside. She mostly hangs out in the barn. I think she and Donkey are big pals. Which is funny, because Donkey really chases the stray cat that comes to visit once in awhile.
Not to worry, Toria is spayed, so barn kittens here. Below are some photos of Miss Toria inside. |
